Description

There is outstanding documentation and how-to guides for analysts to leverage when diving into place-based analysis for their departments. While documentation is available and detailed, sometimes it’s more effective to learn through screen sharing, short videos, and demonstrations of how experienced professionals perform their analyses.

This course is just that. It is a series of digestible, short videos and 20 downloadable resources that can help analysts better understand some of the tools available to them for their analytical outputs. Additionally, the course comes with two sessions to meet with the instructor and other experts to help troubleshoot, ask questions, and solve problems.

Throughout this course, we will cover various topics such as layer creation, geoprocessing tools and appropriate parameters for strategic and tactical crime analysis, map layout creation, and sharing layers, maps, and projects. While you may have this knowledge already, you may pick up some neat tips and tricks along the way that can not only help get your outputs to a new level but help your department’s leadership make decisions on what to do based on your analysis.
