Communications Coordinator and Content Editor

Mackenzie Oliff (she/her), the Communications Coordinator and Content Editor for IDEA Analytics, supports the Creative Division in executing and monitoring communications strategies, and ensuring that all documents align with the IDEA brand.

Mackenzie brings over five years of experience with professional, technical, and creative editing. Prior to joining the IDEA team, she was a poetry and creative writing editor for Blackbird Literary Journal, and acquisitions editor for Plain China Publication (Virginia Commonwealth University). She was a consultant at the Virginia Commonwealth University Writing Center, where she edited students work in all disciplines of academic study. She reviews all public relations and marketing materials such as social media posts, blog posts, newsletters, and updates and repurposes client deliverables. She maintains engagement of the IDEA Virtual Network, tracks and reports on analytics of marketing and communications campaigns, and coordinates network events. She reviews and edits all IDEA materials to ensure proper voice, tone, audience, and alignment with IDEA Analytics' brand.

Mackenzie earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She is originally from West Virginia, currently residing in Virginia, and she enjoys hiking, seeing live music, and participating in and attending local poetry events.
