Eric Patterson (he/him), a Cyber Security & IT Strategist for IDEA Analytics, supports database architecture, information security practices, and data management/analysis. Eric works with information technology staff and clients on technology integration, streamlining data queries, processing, and creating automated solutions for real-time processing. Given Eric’s background across several industries, he brings solutions to public safety efforts to modernize and implement digital practices.

Eric has spent over a decade helping organizations in the Financial, Health Care, Energy, and Motion Picture Industries build cross-functional Threat Intelligence teams to answer the questions that keep leadership up at night. He brings this knowledge of open-source intelligence and unstructured data processing to the criminal justice space for multi-industry solutions. His experience supporting these industries have included liaising with the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), federal agencies (i.e., FBI), global law enforcement (e.g., Interpol, Europol), and leaders in the technology industry to share information and disrupt adversaries.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Computer Security & Information Assurances from Norwich University. Eric is originally from the Northeast, just outside of Boston, but has found himself free to move about the country during his professional life—spending time in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, California, Washington State, and Arizona. Eric enjoys traveling, exploring nature, mountain biking, and expanding his photography career.
